Seven minutes late for class. Does it matter? Not quite. Ah well, I was too busy effin around with my blog. It's kind of boring, but it took a lot of work for me to mess around with it to get it this way...and I like it.
Plus, it has a lot to do with the outlook I'm trying to adopt. I trust pretty much everyone right from the get-go because I believe that for the most part, people have good intentions and mean no harm. However, I don't think in that manner 100% of the time. You see, trusting someone to HELP me do something or to have any sort of power over an important area in my life is basically impossible.
If that makes any sort of sense to you, then you'll understand why I decided to format my blog this way. The guy sitting there is hooking me in to all of this rappelling equipment right at the edge of this giant cliff. In order to get down, I had to trust that he put everything together correctly and that he wouldn't let me fall too fast or smack me into the rock wall. This wasn't difficult, because I knew nothing about rock climbing. But when it comes to things that I know a little or a lot about...it is uber-difficult to give up the reins. I have to do it sometime, though--or at least be comfortable enough with the concept so I can give up control when the situation dictates it.
Sorry for going on a long tangent that probably made absolutely no sense to you. It's kind of stream of consciousness. My bad. Meh.
Final thought of the day:
I've never seen such beauty as I got to experience in Alaska. At least that's what I first thought. But the more I think about it, the more I get the cheesy thought in my head that the only reason I'm defining Alaska as true beauty is because everything I see around here seems repetitive and mundane. Through the photography/editing classes I've taken, I've learned to understand that there is amazing beauty in virtually everything everywhere. You just have to look at it through the right light or at the right angle. I mean, a corn field is a corn field any way you look at it, but if you see it at sunset with warm tones of brown and orange...it's a masterpiece.
20 minutes late, now. peace out.
