48th & Burt? home...?

So I found the CUTEST apartment today. Honestly, it might not be that great, but I haven't actually taken a look around any other "converted homes" before...and I guess that's the closest way to describe this. Picture: all wood floors, decent sized kitchen, good Midtown/Dundee location, my own staircase (wait-make that 2 of them!), and, an attic! I really like it and it's less than pretty much any apartment I would ever find in For Rent or on apartments.com.

We'll see how it goes, though. Maybe I'll find something else--or they will find someone else.

Final thought of the day:

Don't put yourself in situations that you know aren't right for you. It will only lead to pain/heartache/loss. It may be easy to ignore that little voice inside your head telling you not to do it, but the truth is that the voice knows what it's talking about. That little voice is smarter than you will ever be. And the thing is, it's more than just a gut reaction or passing thought. You should know what those are, too, and for the most part you should listen to them. But if the voice speaks...you listen (unless it's the creepy schizo-voices). It will save you so much mental angst in the present and down the line.

Don't know if that means anything to anyone except me, but I wanted to share the lesson that I think I have finally learned.
